The ‘Modi As PM Kejriwal As CM’ Project
The results of the Delhi Legislative
Assembly election, 2015 with the Aam Aadmi Party securing absolute
majority winning 67 of the 70 seats came as a major shock to many of the
BJP supporters. Many theories started floating about what might have
gone wrong with some blaming it on BJP’s poor performance at the Centre
while others claimed it was the Congress support that helped AAP win the
elections. However, while the supporters were in a deep state of shock
the party leaders looked cool and composed as if the defeat was
anticipated in advanced.
According to BJP local body party
workers of Krishnanagar where BJP has been winning for 22 years the
defeat was planned months ago. Local body party workers were not allowed
to campaign, panna pramukhs (door to door campaigners) lists included
migrated or even dead persons. Many panna pramukhs didn’t even know that
they were made pramukhs.
To understand what really happened we will need to go back a couple of years in history. It all started with a tea with terrorist
as the media termed it. Mr Ved Pratap Vaidik, a freelance journalist,
had met the Jamaat-ud-Dawa chief in Lahore on July 2 2014 while touring
Pakistan with a group of journalists and politicians invited by a peace
research institute. The meeting opened up a can of worms and soon the
spotlight came to think tank based in Delhi with which Mr Vaidik was
affiliated with.
According to a report
published in BodhitaNews in July last year Vivekananda International
Foundation was already on the radar of Intelligence Bureau for
anti-national activities since 2012. The Intelligence Bureau (IB) has
been keeping tabs on one of its former directors, Ajit Doval, and
Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF), of which he is a director.
Based on IB reports Doval and his team at VIF, which include prominent
RSS ideologues, are the brain behind the anti-corruption movement in the
country, especially the one led by Baba Ramdev. It was in April 2011
that VIF organised a seminar on corruption and black money. Soon after,
Anna Hazare’s fast began and Ramdev announced his June 4 Ramlila Maidan
protest. IB men have since been keeping a keen eye on VIF.
The Indian Express has more details on the issue in its report published in Aug of 2012.
A high profile institute-cum-think
tank in the heart of New Delhi’s diplomatic area in Chanakyapuri, set up
on land allotted by the then Narasimha Rao government, a clutch of
former intelligence officials running the place, and a group of
well-known RSS swayamsewaks — they are the silent force behind the
recent anti-corruption movements in the country, especially the one led
by Baba Ramdev.
In fact, it was at the Vivekananda
International Foundation last year that a decision was taken to form an
anti-corruption front under Baba Ramdev — this was just days before Anna
Hazare sat on his first fast. The foundation’s director is Ajit Doval, a
former director of the Intelligence Bureau. It was at the foundation
again that the first serious attempt was made to bring Ramdev and Team
Anna members together.
Inaugurated in 2009, the Vivekananda
International Foundation is a project of the Vivekananda Kendra,
founded in the early 1970s by former RSS general secretary Eknath Ranade
and headed now by RSS pracharak P Parameswaran.
It was in April last year that the
foundation, together with RSS ideologue K N Govindacharya’s Rashtriya
Swabhiman Andolan, organised a seminar on corruption and black money
attended by both Ramdev and Team Anna members Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran
Bedi.
At the end of the two-day seminar,
held on April 1 and 2, an “anti-corruption front” was formed with Ramdev
as patron and Govindacharya as convenor. The members included Doval;
RSS swayamsewak S Gurumurthy; Bhishm Agnihotri, who was India’s
ambassador-at-large during the NDA regime; and Prof R Vaidyanathan of
IIM-Bangalore, who co-authored a BJP task force’s report on black money
along with Doval and Ved Pratap Vaidik.
Soon after the seminar, Hazare’s
fast began, and in April end, Ramdev announced his June 4 Ramlila Maidan
protest — his first public showdown with the UPA government.
So here we have Baba Ramdev, Kiran Bedi,
Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal, Subramaniyan Swamy with former
Intelligence officials brainstorming together even before the launch of
India Against Corruption or the Aam Aadmi Party. What is more shocking
is many of these and other top AAP candidates joining the BJP including
Shazia Ilmi and Kiran Bedi going to the extent of contesting against AAP
itself from BJP. It begs a simple question, was AAP really BJP2 in
disguise?
The answer to the question may be found in the book 26/11 Probe Why Judiciary Also Failed
by former Inspector General of Police, Maharashtra and a close friend
of ATS Chief Hemanth Karkare assassinated during the 26/11 Mumbai
Attacks in Operation Kill K. In the book he writes about what goes on inside of the Vivekananda International Foundation.
Though its advisory board and
executive council consists of a host of former intelligence officials,
retired bureaucrats, diplomats and ex-military men, for all practical
purposes it is run by a small group of former IB officers and hard-core
RSS swayamsewaks. Among the frequent visitors to the centre are some
retired judges and selected media persons, especially high-profile TV
channel anchors, owing allegiance to their ideology.
Which issue is to be highlighted,
which political leader is to be grilled in TV channels’
panel-discussions and on which issue; what strategy is to be adopted in
court cases etc. are among the subjects discussed at the centre. It is
common knowledge that the decisions to lift the likes of Anna Hazare and
Baba Ramdev to dizzy heights and then drop them from there, were taken
at this centre.
But the core activity of the centre
is to influence government decisions with the objective of attaining
their agenda. With this view in mind, seminars are organized at the
centre on innocuous issues like corruption, black money, performance
paralysis, but actually, the participants discuss sensitive subjects
like national security, foreign affairs, defense, Kashmir and so on.
These seminars are followed by secret meetings in which strategies to
influence government decisions are discussed. What is worrying is that
some important bureaucrats of PMO attend such seminars and meetings.
The participants do not merely
discuss sensitive issues but also take decision and devise strategies to
influence government to implement them. PMO officials, who attend the
meetings, come handy in this regard.
It is fool hardy to think that having
such a control over the media and the kind of persona management
strategies employed through western intelligence managed PR agencies;
that AAP could still win over BJP and Congress with such a landslide.
Unless ofcourse it is by design and not just a spontaneous organic
reaction of people merely dissatisfied by the poor performance and
extremism of the BJP government. The truth however is that AAP and the
India Against Corruption campaigns before it’s birth were a brainchild
of a small group of BJP think tank itself. The same group floated the
theory that AAP was infact a Congress B team while all evidence pointed
otherwise; to distance themselves from it and posed as enemies blowing
hollow accusations at each other that do not stand the merit of a
thorough investigation. While the public was hoodwinked and kept busy
fighting among themselves at ridiculous issues of blame game and even
name calling that became national news; the agenda that played all along
was Modi as PM & Kejriwal as CM.
Isn’t it ironic that the meaning of Arvind in sanskrit is – Lotus.
As the father of propaganda Edward
Bernays explained in 1995 “Professionally, [public relations] activities
are planned and executed by trained practitioners in accordance with
scientific principles, based on the findings of social scientists. Their
dispassionate approach and methods may be likened to those of the
engineering professions which stem from the physical sciences.”
The conscious and intelligent
manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an
important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this
unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is
the true ruling power of our country.
We are governed, our minds are molded,
our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never
heard of. This is a logical result of the way in which our democratic
society is organized. Vast numbers of human beings must cooperate in
this manner if they are to live together as a smoothly functioning
society.
However any sort of propaganda is
successful only when the targeted population chooses to sleep and remain
ignorant of the facts around them. It is this very same reason that
Indians are kept in a perpetual state of fear, ignorance and hatred so
as whoever the regime of the day could remain in power.
